At Central Aluminum Company, we have been a proud provider of high quality aluminum extrusions from our Columbus, Ohio facility since 1963. We were recently contracted by a trailer manufacturer who needed the fabrication of a horse trailer component. Utilizing our extrusion press, we extruded and cut this trailer component from 6063-T6 aluminum, and then deburred it. Adhering to our customer’s precise specifications provided via 2D CAD drawings, we fabricated this component to a width of 4.5”, a height of 1.0”, and a length of 55-88”. To assure the highest quality product, dimensional inspection and surface quality tests were performed throughout the manufacturing process. This project had a fast turnaround time of just 3 weeks, and we now produce 2,000 – 12,000 lbs. per release of this component for our customer in Marion, Ohio. We can also produce this type of component for trailers in various industries.
